Join Us for Earth Day at Carson High School, April 20th

People’s CORE and the Environmental Justice Network of Southern California (EJNSC) believe we have a responsibility to our community and environment. It is this philosophy that drives us to host our annual Earth Day Concert on Friday April 20th, from 3pm – 7pm at Carson High School. It will be a fun-filled day of activity, musical performances, celebration of green solutions, and health education for all ages. Local community leaders and city officials will also be present.

The theme this year is Community Participation. Though we have made progress in asserting our right to a clean environment, the South Bay of Los Angeles still has a long way to go before it’s good enough for the next generation to inherit. Awareness and mobilization will play a role in that vision for the future.

Through the generosity of volunteers and event sponsors, the event is totally free and open to the public. We are encouraging residents of all ages and backgrounds to attend. Your participation is important since Earth Day is organized by our community, for our community. The only way or us to create lasting change is through community participation. This event is funded in part by a grant from The California Wellness Foundation.

We hope you will consider attending. For any questions please contact:
